    Medieval real-time strategy

This is a port to Linux of the Windows game Majesty. Majesty for Linux contains both the full Majesty game, and the expansion pack, The Northern Expansion.

Majesty is a Real Time Strategy game with a difference. Instead of controling your forces directly, you have to ask them, and if they think it's a good idea, or if you pay them enough, then they will do it. Otherwise, they'll tell you just what you can do with your orders!

Majesty runs on x86 PC and Apple PPC hardware running Linux.

    Game Homepage
    A front console/X front end to X-Mame.

    MAMECAT stands for M.A.M.E. Catalog/Launcher.

    It consists of three programs:

    • mamecat (curses version of the launcher; text-only)
    • qmamecat (Qt version of the launcher; X11)
    • catgen (a simple catalog generator)

      The key-features of MAMECAT are

      • preview-image support (Qt/X11 version only !), several file-formats (GIFs, BMPs, XPMs etc...)
      • easy, extendable catalog-format (incl. a catalog-generator)
      • X11 (using Qt) and text-only (i.e console or xterm) user interfaces available
      • works with most recent xmame-versions (should virtually work with any release :-)

Additional System Requirements: The Qt library version 3 or better.

    Multiplayer Angband Conversion

MAngband is a free online multiplayer real-time roguelike game, derived from the single player game Angband.

To win the game you must build up a character, selected from any one of 10 races and 6 classes, to be powerful enough to defeat Morgoth, Lord of Darkness, who lives in the dungeon 5000 feet below the surface of the town. As you work towards this near-impossible goal, you will chart unexplored dungeon passageways, do battle with legendary creatures, and find lost artifacts. And of course throughout your journeys you will encounter many other adventurers -- whether they be friend or foe is up to you to decide!

    License: free

Additional System Requirements: Should compile fine on any system with a termcap library (NCurses, Curses), or an X11 distribution.
(Hint for Linux: Remove the -ltermcap entry in the Makefile to get it to compile -lncurses should be all that's needed on Linux systems)

    The ultimate marble game

ManiacMarble3D is a remake of a well known game concept. The player has to guide a marble from the start to a target point in a 3D environment. The tricky part of the game is the constant fight against the gravity because the marble has to be moved across small platforms in the sky.

The soundtrack was performed by "the famous band Lasch".
