Open ended gameplay allows you to choose your path freely, in a universe that would take you almost 2 days playing time just to fly from one end to the other. Pilot any of over 60 classes of ship ranging from the tiny Argon Discoverer, a one man fighter, all the way to the Teladi Albatross, a huge carrier class ship over 2km long, capable of carrying a squadron of fighters, all at your command. A complex yet intuitive interface allows complete control of your empire. Be it a trading fleet of merchant vessels flying between the factories and stations littering space, or a fighter wing of deadly Split Raptors.

This small program animates the X cursor. Any sequence of xbm bitmaps may be specified as the animation. The default "demo" sequence is a cute rotating earth. Although the docs indicate that the cursor in some X windows can be changed, I was only able to animate the cursor in the root window.

This is an X version of the arcade game Ataxx with simple graphics. The object is to have the most pieces of your color on the board by the end of the game. On your turn, you can either clone a glob into an adjacent empty square, or make a glob jump to a new space. Adjacent enemy globs get converted to your color after you make your move.

An interesting multiplayer strategy wargame played in realtime on multiple X displays. Command an army in realtime, deploying forces strategically to overpower the enemy's troops. Loads of game-play options, such as bases, cities, digging, paratroops, and variable terrain can be settable from the command-line, so that there is virtually an infinite number of different scenarios and rule sets.
