I'm attempting to update one of my favorite computer games, Omega. Omega's a great game; many people believe that it's still the best Roguelike. But all is not roses: Omega is buggy. Its source code is written in an ancient dialect of C (K). It supports color only on a couple of platforms, and then only with separate code support.

Don't get me wrong: it's an incredibly promising game, and the people who've been working with it have always tried to do a great job. The problem is that most of them tried to do TOO great of a job, and the work never got finished.

I hope that I can fix that. True, I have my own grandiose plans (see the list or schedule below) for this game; however, I'm determined to finish fixing all of the features which are in the game right now before I even think about adding new features. I'm also determined to accept help from anyone who offers... Feel free, even if your skills only extend to making fun of my haircut (hey, any improvement helps!).

OCC allows to play any number of games simultaneously against your friends spread all over the world with nothing else but a simple web browser... provided you own some PHP-ready web space. OCC recognizes checkmate, stalemate and allows to draw a game. In addition, finished games will be archived. All games can be reviewed step by step.

Oolite is an open ended game, based around travelling from star system to star system as a lone wolf trader or bounty hunter or pirate or ...any role the player chooses; there is no set goal apart from perhaps to gain the coveted Elite combat rating. Whatever the player chooses, danger lurks - the Police may come to your aid, but with the size of space, they may take their time. Or if the player is less than legally clean, the Police might only be coming to finish them off...

There are several missions, and the game is expandable and many expansion packs and mods are available.

The game is an independent interpretation and re-creation of the classic game, Elite. Oolite was originally written for Mac OSX in Objective-C using Cocoa, and has been ported to Linux using GNUstep and SDL. The game is still under active development on both Mac OSX and Linux.

A card game using a custom set of cards, twelve suits of four cards each. The object is to arrange each suit of four cards on its own pile. I think this is a relatively hard game to win; I played it a dozen times and haven't won yet.
