This is a GPL'd clone of Taito's seminal Space Invaders, written in C++ using the Allegro library, naturally with all new graphics. As the project stands, it is in a developmental stage and there are many bugs to be ironed out and features to be yet included.

Open Liero is an almost exact clone of Liero. Some non-essential bugs were fixed such as walking over the rope. Most Liero total conversions work perfectly in it and sound is fully supported.

Liero and thus Open Liero is an action game similar to worms but in real time. May be played by two players or one player and a bot.

Have you ever wondered why there are so many free Quake engines but not a free Quake? Well, OpenQuartz will try to fill this gap. Open Quartz is a project to supply GPL artwork to create a fully GPL game based around the GPL Quake sourcecode. The pak0 module contains content (maps, models, graphics and sounds) and Quake-C code which controls the behavior and rules of the game. There is also a playable version available that has bot support. Anyone who ever wanted to create his own First-Person-Shooter can use OpenQuartz as a base.

Open Racer is going to be a 3d gaming engine based upon what originally was called Tux R acer, originally written by Jasmin Patry.

SunSpire Studios , for whom Jasmin now works, has decided to make a commercial version based on the Tux Racer 0.6.1 version of Tux Racer. This is perfectly legal and acceptable according to the terms of the GPL, since Jasmin is the original licenser and has the authority to relicense his program. (Sunspire has removed all contributed code from the 1.0 version as well, thanks for pointing this out, filip)

The goal of the Open Racer project is to continue development and improvement of the Tux Racer game from the GPLed 0.6.1 codebase with a goal of making a game-independent 3d Extreme racing engine.Open Racer will develop in a different direction than the commercial Tux Racer in order to keep from direct competition and wasteful strife with Sunspire Studios. Note that this project is not intended in any way to compete(and probably won't be able to) with the commercial Tux Racer. In fact, I suggest that you buy Tux Racer when it comes out.
