The game can be summarized as an online graphical turn-based strategy/rpg game where you can play short tactical skirmishes with 2-4 players in small random-generated game worlds. The game is free and can be played either as an applet or downloadable client.

The time-limited turns (30-90 secs) give the game a semi-realtime feel, and the game has sometimes been characterized as "chess on steroids".

Starting life as a compulsory project, this has grown into a fairly slick-looking 3D flying shooter. Featuring impressive graphics, big explosions, openal sound effects and semi intelligent enemies, this has lots of promise. It reminds me a bit of a souped up version of Starfighter 3000 (for all you Acorn devotees out there!).

Red Orchestra is a free ( as in no money required if you have already bougth UT2004 ;) World War II multiplayer modification of the popular action game Unreal Tournament 2004. RO is real world inspired as it tries to recreate some of the war on the eastern front.

You can play either as a soviet or germans soldier in the battles which decided the worlds destiny. With its rich blend of city and outdoor theatres RO lets you experience some of the real tactics used in WWII.

RO has a very high quality on its maps, and this mod makes UT2004 well worth buying even if you should be one of the few persons which fail to fall in love with UT2004s new Onslaugth game mode.

Red Pixel is a platform, deathmatch game for two players, played over a serial connection or LAN. You run around platform levels, picking up guns and ammo, shooting the other player. It has been described before as a cross between DOOM and Abuse, although that is overselling it a bit :-)

A very good simulation of Vegas gaming machines: Slots and Video poker. The interface, audio samples and visuals are all quite authentic. There are gaming machine variants available to play.

Although the game doesn't use any authentic gaming machine graphics (like Double Diamond or 4th of July).

This is a pleasant little timewaster on par with something like Eric's Solitare.

Gameplay is fairly simple: Slots are just a matter of putting in money and pulling the handle. Video Poker is a bit more involved; you have to decide which cards to keep for the next draw. So there is a slight element of strategy.

This is an SDL game and there are some minor but noticeable bugs in the shipping version including install and fullscreen issues.

Also, bear in mind when ordering this title mail order that the game box itself is not internally reinforced with extra cardboard. So, this title can get quite bashed when only travelling in a shipping envelope.
