Game Homepage 'We like to think the game as a space-flying-mushroom-picking-simulator' "Those Funny Funguloids!" is actually a nice little piece of entertainment. You collect mushrooms, bring them back to your home base and profit! That's the basic idea in a nutshell. It has smooth, appealing 3d graphics and nice atmospheric sound effects. Go ahead and try it out - it has sounds too! 'Those Funny Funguloids!' is free, open source software. We're using Ogre graphics engine for visuals, OIS for input, Lua for scripting and FMOD Ex for audio output. License: free

Game Homepage Turn-based space empire building game similar to Stars!, Galactic Civilizations. Thousand Parsec is a 4 X's game (eXplore, eXpand, eXterminate, eXploit) but it is different in the sense that it is designed for long games supporting universes as large as your computer can handle. (Have a quad Xeon with 4 gig of ram? Well have a couple of million systems in your universe! :). It also supports long term play with players joining and leaving throughout the game. As well the tech tree is easily expandable and can be extended during the game without effecting anybody already playing (ie introduction of new technology as the game progresses). License: free

Game Homepage A lunar-lander-ish console game where you try to carry a heavy object. Interesting, maybe, to people looking for old C64 games which they cannot live without. Thrust is a 320x200 GGI/svgalib/X game sort of like the classic Lunar Lander-style game only the object is to pick up some heavy object from the bottom of the screen, while dodging what look like shooting chairs and the canyon floor.
