Boing is a simple breakout-type game for the Linux console. The keyboard handling is extremely simple, the graphics are okay, and it uses the SoundIt library for digitized sound.

A word before all : FUN !

This high-speed clone of bomberman is not a common game ! The addon-power enables more and more fun (example : pursuit-option, shell commands, tux-addon, pretty sounds...) each month !

The most important : its engine is very different than others. Everytime consistent, it enables you to do all you want. It does not separate interface and game, so, for example, you can change the number of players WHILE playing. The possibility to change all the game is given with the alliance of an interpreted solution and a core modification possibility with the Addon technology. So, everybody can change the game EASILY : the novice with a simple text file, and the C++ programmer with a very powerful technology: the Addon.

Second thing: the game is a bomberman BUT DON'T BE AFRAID: it is VERY different because very very speed, very very fun, very very... Come to discover and try it ! ... and change it !!! A new addon for the game on the net each month ! Each month, your game will be better !!!

A last word : you think that's a 2D-game, don't you ? Wrong ! when you shake enough the screen, it 3D-blows !!!

The game "Bomb attack!" is based on the long-running Bomberman franchise. The goal was to make a playable game with good gameplay in a very short period of time. That's why we decided to do a loose copy of Bomberman. The controls are intuitive and easy to get used to. There are a few basic options, you can turn on/off during the game(no 'options' menu). The goal of the game is to find the hidden door, that will take you to the next level. You can achieve this faster and easier by collecting power-ups, that will give you extra lives, bombs and extended range of explosion. The game has a unique retro-style to it, that will bring back good old memories. With bright colors and easy gameplay it is suitable for children. If you like retro games or you want to keep your children entertained with a simple and non-violent game, this is a game for You!

This game is the same as the old bombardier game on Commodore Plus 4. This version supports hall of fame and more cities. You play a landing bomber and must destroy all buildings before crashing into them.

Bomber Instinct is a multiplayer-only bomberman-like which adds many features (such as special powers for the characters, many levels, teleportations, switches...). Basically, several people must battle in a maze, their only weapon being a bomb which explodes, throwing flames vertically and horizontally, their goal being to kill the others while staying alive. The game only plays on a single computer for now. It's made with SDL, and released in GPL.
