xdesktopwaves is a cellular automata setting the background of your X Windows desktop under water. Windows and mouse are like ships on the sea. Each movement of these ends up in moving water waves. You can even have rain and/or storm stirring up the water.

XDigger is another Boulderdash clone---collect diamonds while digging through earth and avoiding falling rocks. The graphics are a bit painful to look at, however. If you like this sort of game, take a look at Rocks 'n' Diamonds as well.

Xenocide is a sci-fi themed roguelike game placed in a far future, in a world full of vicious monsters, robots and deadly weapons such as grenades, guns and flame throwers.

Players slide virtual poker chips against a smaller puck chip to bump the smaller chip towards the opponents goal to score points. Xenom offers network play or a smart AI opponent. XEvil is a weird platform game. Your character is incarnated as a hero, a chopper-boy, or a ninja. Collect the weapons which drop from the sky and use them to slaughter creatures from Aliens, lemmings, frogs, and characters which look an awful lot like you. The weapon variety is interesting: it includes a frog gun (turn your target into a frog), flamethrowers, shurikens, and the soul-swapper. The game can be set to play levels, indiscriminate slaughter mode, a duel between two people at the same keyboard, or special scenarios (including one in which you must save the lemmings!).
