The Silent Wings Simulator is a highly realistic flight simulator, designed to give high training value for soaring pilots as well as great fun for everyone interested in flight simulation.
Although the software is neither open source nor freeware, it can be downloaded and played in demo-mode. Interestingly, the simulator is one of the few commercial games coded in Linux and then ported to Windows in order to reach the mass market.
