Empire is a multi-player console based game which runs on UNIX. Empire is a continuing turn-based game with activity limited by accumulated time units. Thus, if you return to the game after 24 hours, islands and units have accumulated time units which you can then use. Games can last months.

This is an excellent thinking person's strategy game with an excellent community of players. Explore, colonize, negociate, and fight.
